Jewels of Namibia Day 1: Windhoek Your guide will meet you at the airport. Drive you to your accommodation. From here we'll do a city tour of Windhoek in the afternoon. Includes: (D).
Day 2 - Day 3: Windhoek – Sossusvlei (320km) After breakfast we'll set of to the dunes of Sossusvlei. The special attraction of the Namib Rand is the captivating beauty and diversity of its landscape, which changes from gravel plains, to rugged canyons with towering walls of volcanic rock and distant mountain ranges. There are numerous optional activities to partake in over the next couple of days, including climbing the highest dunes in the world. Includes: (D)(B).
Day 4 - Day 5: Sossusvlei – Swakopmund (380km) After a final gaze at the beautiful surrounding landscape, we'll drive to the coastal town of Swakopmund, where we spend the next two nights. There are a host of optional activities to keep you occupied, including a marine cruise in Walvis Bay, sand-boarding and quad-biking. Includes: (D)(B).
Day 6: Swakopmund – Damaraland (440km) With an early start before traveling north along the coastline, we'll have a fast visit to Cape Cross, which is known mainly as a breeding reserve for thousands of Cape Fur Seals. The lodge is situated in the heart of Damaraland, a vast wilderness with fascinating geological formations and a wealth of rock art. It is also home to the desert elephant and the endangered black rhino. We'll also pay a visit to Burnt Mountain, Twyfelfontein and the Organ Pipes.Includes: (D)(B).
Day 7 - Day 8: Damaraland – Etosha National Park (300km) After breakfast travel north east to the Etosha National Park. Here we'll spend two nights. Etosha developed from an ancient lake that has dried up to create a shimmering salt pan. Early morning and late afternoon are the best times to go game-viewing and Etosha boasts all of the big game except buffalo. Includes: (D)(B).
Day 9: Etosha National Park (250km) Today after breakfast we'll be traveling through the park for a full day of game viewing. We'll reach the gate on the eastern side of the park where we'll find our lodge. Includes: (D)(B).
Day 10: Etosha National Park – Outjo (250km) After breakfast we'll visit the Otjikoto Lake, inland lake, before moving into Tsumeb for a visit to the museum and then move on to our lodge for the night. Includes: (D)(B).
Day 11: Outjo – Okonjima (200km) A wonderful excursion to the nearby cheetah conservation; activities include viewing of the cheetah feed or cheetah exercise. The activities only take place at certain times. Includes: (D)(B).
Day 12: Okonjima – Windhoek (350km) Today we'll make our way back to Windhoek, after a morning excursion. The rest of the day you can spend in Windhoek. Includes: (D)(B).
Day 13: Windhoek Say goodbye to Namibia and depart back home.
